Day 1 – ROME
Upon your arrival in Rome’s you’ll be met by our representative for your transfer to the centrally located hotel or B&B in Rome where you will accommodation in a double room on the quiet side for three-nights. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight.
Day 2 – ROME
Start the day with a buffet breakfast. Then you will depart for our Three-hour Ancient Rome Walking group tour with one of our licensed expert guides, and including skip the line tickets for the Colosseum, Ancient Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, Constantine’s Arch. The Colosseum is considered as the symbol of the greatness of Rome all over the world, it was the vital center for the Romans and stadium of the historical battles of the gladiators. Known as the greatest amphitheater of the world, with a capacity of over 50.000 spectators, it is the image of whole Italy. We will continue with the Imperial Forum, a series of monumental plazas built among the 46 B.C and the 113 A.D. The Roman Emperors wanted the Forum to be built in order to testify their power and greatness. Go on with the visit crossing the valley of the Imperial Forum and reaching the Palatine Hill, you will see an incredible set display in front of you: thanks to the detailed guide description you will be able to imagine how the Romans lived back to 2.000 years ago, their everyday life and troubles, walking throguh temples, columns and arcs of triumph erected for their gods. When the tour is finish you will have time to enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant (not included). In the afternoon you will continuet with 3-hour Baroque group tour. A professional guide will accompany you, step by step, visiting Piazza del Popolo, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the Fountain of the Four River and Campo de’ Fiori. The first stop of your tour will be Piazza del Popolo, a large urban square; the name means “People’s Square”. The layout of the piazza was designed in neoclassical style by the architect Giuseppe Valadier. An egyptian obelisk stands in the center of the Piazza. Going on with the tour you can’t miss Spanish square with its steps of Trinità dei Monti and the church at their top. An amazing place for a romantic walk, this square is usually chosen as the set of famous fashion shows. Next you will see the very famous Trevi Fountain. Its magic has been celebrated in the most famous italian movies, such as Fellini’s La dolce vita, when at night a beautiful Anita Ekberg calls for his gentlemen Marcello Mastroianni from the fountain. Don’t forget to throw a coin inside the fountain … they say that your desires will become true or you could return in Rome. The Pantheon is your next stop, the building commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus, was a temple dedicated to all the divinities of Ancient Rome. Later you could move toward Navona square and its splendid Fountain of the Four Rivers of Bernini and the Church of Saint Agnese, where you will see magnificent sculptures.. and the last stop is piazza Campo de’ Fiori where you will make the italian appetizer and then if you want you have the opportunity to choose one of the many restaurants in the piazza to taste the typical roman cuisine.

Day 3 – ROME
After breakfast, you will take part of a Vatican Museums group tour. You’ll visit the Vatican Museums with one of our licensed expert guides that also skipping the long queue at the entrance, admire the magnificent Sistine Chapel and the St. Peter Basilica and Square. The Vatican is known all over the world as the central governing body of the Catholic Church. The Vatican is a popular place to visit that attracts over 8 million visitors a year. After a brief historical introduction about the Vatican Museums, we will enter the Candelabra Gallery, which houses roman sculptures and frescoed ceilings. Then you will continue in the Gallery of Tapestries, where you will stare at the beautiful tapestries of the 6th century by the Flemish artists. Next will be the extraordinary Gallery of Maps, a series of painted topographical maps of Italy each depicting a region as well as a perspective view of its most prominent city at the time. In the Sistine Chapel you will see the Creation and the Last Judgment, believed to be Michelangelo’s masterpieces in painting. The tour finishes in St. Peter’s Square, where you can admire Bernini’s clever optical illusion, spot the balcony from which the Pope delivers his public addresses, and take photos of the imposing exterior of the basilica. One time that the tour is finished you will have the free time for lunch (not included) and remainder of the afternoon to enjoy to shop or enjoy a gelato.
Day 4 – ROME – NAPLES – POMPEII – ROME
In the morning departing from Rome to discover one of the most important archaeological sites in the world .You will enjoy the group tour of Naples and Pompeii crossing the Roman countryside through the area known as the ‘Castelli Romani’. The first stop is Naples, a world-renowned city home to incredible views of the Mediterranean. Approximately halfway along the highway, you will see the Abbey of Montecassino, which was destroyed in a famous battle during the Second World War. Descend towards the port of Mergellina, and follow the coastal road to the ancient fishing quarter of Santa Lucia. Enjoy the views of Naples’ impressive Castel dell’Ovo. Continue to Naples’ historic city center, where your city tour will include all the major highlights, such as the Piazza del Plebiscito, Royal Palace, Basilica of San Francesco di Paola, San Carlo Opera House, Gallery of Umberto I, and the imposing Maschio Angioino. Leave the city, and travel south toward Mount Vesuvius, passing the towns of Ercolano (Herculaneum), Torre del Greco and Torre Annunziata before arriving in the town of Pompeii. The tour continues with well-earned lunch in one of the town’s traditional restaurants, and then head out to visit Pompeii’s UNESCO-listed ruins on a 2-hour walking tour. This astonishing Roman city frozen in a single moment by the eruption of the volcano Vesuvius will show you how the Romans of 79 AD lived, worked, relaxed and entertained. The Site is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Italy, with approximately 2,500,000 visitors per year. At the end of the visit in the late afternoon you will return to the coach for a journey back to Rome.
Day 5 – FLORENCE
After a leisurely breakfast, you will be met in the lobby of your accommodation to near Rome’s Termini railway station from where you will depart for your next destination – Florence. Travelling in First-class reserved seats on a hi-speed Euro-star train departing from Rome to Florence. Upon arrival in Florence you’ll be met by our representative for your transfer to the centrally located hotel or B&B in Florence where you will be staying for two-night in a double room. Rest of the Day at your leisure.
Day 6 – FLORENCE
The day starts with breakfast, to prepare you for a pleasant day, and continues with a Best Florence group tour. Called the Cradle of the Renaissance, you will marvel at Florence’s art, architecture and churches created by the Masters. We are continue the day with the Florence tour that including the Ponte Vecchio (Old bridge), the Duomo, the elegant Uffizi Square, the renowned leather market and the Accademia Gallery with Michelangelo’s David. Thanks to your guide you will get the best from every precious moment. In the streets of this amazing city you will see both the Middle Ages architecture and the Renaissance style, admire this wonderful city in all its glory! Your morning begins with the Accademia Gallery, – with our Skip the Line access you won’t have to wait – where you will have the unique opportunity to marvel at Michelangelo’s statue of the Slaves and his magnificent 17 foot marble masterpiece, the David. Your tour continues with the visit of the Uffizi Gallery. Situated inside Piazza della Repubblica, the Uffizi Gallery is the oldest museum in the world as well as the first museum opened to the public. The Uffizi Gallery boasts one of the most important collection of works of art in the world: the Botticelli’s “Birth of Venus” and “La Primavera” or “Allegory of the Springtime” the famous Filippo Lippi’s “Madonna with Child and Angels” Leonardo da Vinci’s “Annunciation and Adoration of the Magi” and “The Baptism of Christ”, Michelangelo’s “Holy Family”, ect.. The walking tour continues in the “ Piazza della Repubblica”, once the Ancient Forum, now a popular meeting place for famous writers, artists and locals. Then you have time to enjoy our lunch at a local restaurant in the piazza (not included), Tour continues with a visit to the Old Bridge“Ponte Vecchio”, known for its numerous jewelry shops, but also because it’s the oldest bridge in Florence and the only one that the Germans spared during the Second World War. You will have the time to do the shopping on a boutique and jewelry famous shops that you will find on the piazza and then we will continues to find the largest and most beautiful square in Florence – Piazza della Signoria (Signoria Square). In this magnificent “outdoor museum,” you can admire the beautiful Fountain of Neptune, the sculptural masterpieces of the Loggia dei Lanzi Cellini’s Perseus and the Gianbologna’s Rape of the Sabine women and Palazzo Vecchio, the current Town hall and one of the most important palaces in Florence. In the afternoon we are returning in your accommodation and you have the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 7 – VENICE
After a leisurely breakfast, you will be met in your accommodation by our representative for your transfer to the train station to travel to your next destination – Venice. Travelling in First-class reserved seats on a hi-speed Euro-star train departing from Florence to Venice. Upon arrival in Venice you’ll be met by our representative for your Water-Taxi Transfer to the centrally located hotel or B&B in Venice where you will be staying in a double room for two nights.

Day 8 – VENICE
The day starts with a buffet breakfast before leaving our 4-hour Best Venice group tour with one of our licensed expert guides you will enjoy a complete and thorough introduction to the city of Venice. The first you will visit the St. Mark’s Basilica, no wonder Venetians called it “Basilica d’Oro”, the golden basilica – this tour includes your entrance ticket (Skip the Line Access) to the amazing panoramic view from the terrace! Saint Mark’s Basilica is a sanctuary that holds a great amount of treasures, both material and spiritual. Next to the Basilica there is The Doge’s Palace, Palazzo Ducale in italian, that is the most important museum in Venice. It was once the Republic’s venue, the palace of justice and the official residence of the Doge and it is considered the most ambitious expression of Venetian Gothic architecture. Your tour will continue on the Bridge of Sighs that connects the palace with the new prison. Enjoy the same, beautiful but yet sad view of Venice that the prisoners had for the last time when they were taken to their cells. and then, your wonderful tour continue around the corner you find Rialto Bridge. The original bridge was made of wood, but it was replaced in 1588 with the current stone structure. The area around the bridge is where ships would unload their goods for the Venetian local markets. Today the bridge and the surrounding area are scattered with shops. Then you’ll visit Marco Polo’s house, the Venetian son who went to sea and came back with stories of China and an eastern world that few had ever seen or even heard of. You’ll see the squares of Campo SS Giovanni e Paolo and Campo Santa Maria Formosa, where you will find Byzantine influences, Renaissance buildings and modern structures, all of them showing the eclectic story of this unique city. Once finished the walking tour you have some free time to enjoy your lunch(not included). In the afternoon returning in your accommodation and you have the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 9 – VENICE / END OF THE VACATION PACKAGE
Your 8-Day Italy Vacation Package will conclude with water-taxi transfer directly from your accommodation in Venice to the departure terminal of Marco Polo Airport.
