Saint Mark’s Basilica dates back to the 9th century and has served as the Doge’s private chapel up until the 19th century. That’s why this wordly-known sanctuary holds an enormous amount of treasures, both material and spiritual. Your wonderful tour continues following hidden alleys and passing through typical Venetian “campos” (squares) in the Rialto area, while your guide will tell you about the city, her architecture and lifestyle, before arriving at the Rialto Bridge, a symbol of all that is so Italian: stunning, inspiring and utterly romantic. The Rialto Bridge is the oldest bridge crossing the Grand Canal here you will look at the beautiful boutiques and take pictures of the breathtaking view. Eventually your guide will take you to a gondola dock, where you will enjoy a trip on the most typical venetian boat, the Gondola.
