You will have a snack of bruschetta with olive-oil and afterwards continue to San Miniato where you will enjoy a stroll through the narrow alleys, and enjoy the view from the village over the pretty surrounding Tuscan landscape. San Miniato is world-known for the truffle fair that takes place there every November. During lunch (included) you will enjoy dishes made with local delicacies.
In the afternoon you will visit the birthplace of  Leonardo da Vinci. You can walk around the small old-town of Vinci and maybe visit the Leonardo Museum (optional visit, entrance fee to be paid at the spot). Return to the hotel.

Day 3: Florence – Naples – Sorrento
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. This morning you will reach the old-town of Florence and start your guided walking tour.
The Cathedral of Florence dominates the city and together with the Bell Tower and Baptistery, forms one of the most magnificent works of art in the world. The austerity and beauty of the city, and the pride and style of the Florentines, is manifested in the Palazzo Vecchio and many other impressive monuments.
In the afternoon you will leave Florence and travel by high-speed Italo train to Naples (the trip takes approx. 2hrs 40 min.).
Naples is a city of exuberant vitality set at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, embedded in a spectacular landscape overlooking the islands which rise up like sculptures in the Gulf of Naples. Transfer by local transport (bus or Circumvesuviana train) to your hotel on the Sorrentine peninsula, where you will stay for the next three nights. Dinner in hotel.

Overnight: Sorrento area

Meals: Breakfast, dinner

Day 4: Sorrento
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Today will be at leisure.  You can relax in a park, or at your hotel and just enjoy your vacation, but to make the most of your stay we recommend taking a stroll to discover the surroundings, and discover Sorrento on your own. Piazza Tasso is the heart of the town, with countless cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. Another option is of course an excursion to Capri which can be arranged if requested.

Overnight: Sorrento area

Meals: Breakfast

Day 5: Pompeii – Gragnano pasta factory
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Today the ruins of Pompeii await you. By walking through the mighty ruins you can easily imagine how the city must have looked during the Roman Empire. Drive to Gragnano, a village where the tradition of homemade pasta-making goes back to the 16th century. The pasta producer Afeltra is one of the oldest pasta manufacturers and still operates today in the original building dating back to 1848 located in the center of town. Enjoy a lunch of Gragnano pasta including beverages (wine and water). Thanks to its position and the favorable weather conditions – fresh air and the breeze from the Gulf of Sorrento – and the knowledge that has been passed on from generation to generation, Afeltra has become famous all over the world.

Overnight: Sorrento area

Meals: Breakfast, lunch

Day 6: Bologna
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. A local bus will take you to the Naples rail station from where you will take the high-speed Italo train to Bologna (the trip takes approx. 4 hrs 30 min.).
Meet your private English-speaking guide and visit the city. Bologna has one of the most beautiful and best-preserved old-towns in Europe with many towers dating back to the Middle Ages. Around 40 km of porticos connect squares, churches and palaces. You will enjoy also a guided tour of the university, the oldest in the world. Return to the hotel.
